The Kenwood UBZ-LJ9SET walkie-talkies fit nicely in the palm of your hand and are easy to use. The built-in battery lasts up to 18 hours per full charge while the communication range stretches up to 6km in the ideal conditions. Furthermore, the system offers 32 channels, meaning it can be connected to available PMR446 radios, and the QT/DQT 'selective calling' function can be activated to reach out to specific receivers. The UBZ-LJ9 walkie-talkies come finished with ports for plugging in external microphones and in-ears, and feature twenty different ring tones for eased user ID-ing.

Kleine opmerking: "PMR556" moet zijn "PMR446".
In de handleiding van de portofoon worden 32 kanalen genoemd.
Kanaal 17 tm 32 moeten handmatig geactiveerd worden.
Bijzonder is dat PMR446 "maar" 16 kanalen (frequenties) ondersteunt ( in FM )
met een kanaal afstand van 12,5 kHz. Ik zie ook frequenties in het 6.25 kHz raster.
Erg ongewoon voor een FM PMR portofoon.
Ook wijken de kanaal nummers af van wat gebruikelijk is.
Dat kan lastig instellen zijn als met niet-kenwood PMR portofoons samengewerkt moet worden.
Even opletten dus :)
